Second Winter School in Medical Engineering with the key areas “Prosthetics, Materials and Medical Simulations”, which will take place from 11th to 15th of February 2019, in Linz/Austria.
Target group:
We are inviting students at the end of their BA/undergraduate-studies (eg. 5 semester) to join us for these international event and receive up to 2 ECTS. In addition to lectures, workshops and laboratory tutorials, our programme will include site visits one extra day filled with social and cultural activities. Admission requirements:
- Studies in Medical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Technical Studies with focus on medicine (Mechatronics, Medical Electronics,...)
- Students: 5th semester undergraduate/bachelor
- English: min. B1
Application:
In order to apply for our event, please send an e-mail to international@fh-linz.at and we will send you an individual link to start your application process. The registration deadline is 14th of December 2018. Registrations after this date will be disregarded.
Accommodation:
Currently, the cheapest and most convenient ways of staying in Linz are Airbnb (www.airbnb.at) and the youth hostel of Linz (http://www.jugendherbergsverband.at/en/jugendherberge-detail ). Please book your stay individually.
Costs:
The University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria will be able to cover most of the costs related to the 5-day-event, including the cultural activities and the lunches/dinners quoted in the attached schedule. Therefore, the reduced participation fee will amount to Euro 150,-- per person. It will also include a weekly-ticket for the public transport in Linz.
Travel costs, costs for lodging and meals (apart of the ones which are included in this programme) are to be covered by the participants.
